On Saturday we held the official launch of lifestack.

We invited 41 people.

All 41 came.

If you’ve ever run an event, you know how unusual that is. People mean to come and then life gets in the way. A no-show rate of zero isn’t normal, and it’s not something we take for granted.

It told us something before the night had even properly started.

It was a lot of people’s first time at an ice hockey game. By the end, a good number said they’d be back on their own, which is exactly what we hoped for and couldn’t have engineered. The hockey was genuinely good.

There’s something strangely comforting about getting a hug from a giant polar bear.

The company was better.

But the thing that stuck with us wasn’t the game, or even the turnout. It was how many people asked, unprompted, how they could help us get the word out about lifestack. Not because we asked them to. Because they wanted to.

That’s the part we didn’t expect, and it’s the part that matters most. We set out to build a business. What’s actually starting to form is a community of owners who recognise the same things in each other: the weight of being the one it all runs through, and the quiet relief of being in a room full of people who get it without you having to explain.

That’s what we want to keep building, and it’s why the next one already matters to us.

On 6th November we’re back with MK Lightning at Planet Ice for our monthly networking morning. Same room, same kind of people, another chance to be among owners who understand the thing without you having to spell it out.

Come and be part of it.
